Binge drinking is the most common and deadly pattern of excessive alcohol use. It costs the United States 249 billion dollars. An estimated 109,000 people die from alcohol-related causes every year, and roughly 2,300 of those are from alcohol poisoning cases. Binge drinking is associated with many personal health issues including:
Car accidents/unintentional injuries – falls, burns, alcohol poisoning
Cancer – breast, mouth, throat, esophagus, liver, and colon
