After leaving the ED, Ahmed is forced to make some tough decisions regarding his alcohol use, diet and exercise. Thankfully the hospital and his healthcare team provided him with resources to make those changes. The resources Ahmed can use to improve his health include a referral to a counselor for stress management and healthy coping strategies, a dietician to design a meal plan, and a personal trainer to develop an exercise program. Rather than living a life that could potentially hurt every system in his body and other aspects of his life, Ahmed decided to start therapy. After six weeks of working with his healthcare team, Ahmed has made positive strides in his lifestyle choices.
